Paige’s Journey

I first started at ABL 1 Touch in April 2018. Joining the company as maternity cover and someone who had little to no experience in HR, my expectations for securing a long term position within the organisation were not very high. 

However, after spending some time within my role and with my colleagues, I soon began to realise that this was the career path that I wanted to follow. I expressed my interests in staying with ABL 1Touch as more of a long term option rather than as a temporary position, and I also expressed my interest in learning more about the HR role and what it entails.

After less than 6months of joining the company, to my amazement, I was offered a full time position within the HR department.  Not only was I offered the position, I was also offered the chance to study Human Resources CIPD level 3  at a college of my choice, with all of the college expenses covered. I honestly could not believe just how much was being invested into me and my future.

From here I knew I had joined an amazing company. I had never believed I would ever be a part of a company that valued their staff so much and had the care to help me to realise and also chase my dream. During the time I was studying, the support from my line manager was unimaginable, and so was the support from the company as a whole. After a year of studying and passing the CIPD level 3, I again expressed my interest to progress even further. Once again, ABL 1 Touch covered the expenses and offered the support to assist me with completing the CIPD level 5.

After joining almost 3 years ago as a temporary HR admin assistant, I never believed I would be here with 2 new qualifications under my belt and a promotion into the role of HR advisor. I can honestly say that none of this would have been possible with out the support of ABL 1 Touch. The pride they take into supporting and progressing their staff is nothing I’ve ever witnessed before, and I have worked for  a few large plc organisations in the past.  The positive values, open and honest communication, and relaxed and productive atmosphere are all things which I am proud to be a part of.
