Tony Lawman – CEO

Tony is a highly accomplished Senior Executive and Leader with over 30 years’ experience spanning Transport & Logistics, FMCG, Manufacturing, Property, Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Supply Chain and Defence within private and publicly owned organisations.

A proven track record in delivering value to shareholders through rapid growth, acquisitions & integrations, business turnarounds and major organisational change.

An inspirational leader renowned for building and developing high performing teams. Prior to joining ABL 1 Touch in Jan 2023, he was Managing Director of National Express Transport Solutions, a division of National Express with a fleet of 750 coaches and 1100 staff. 

Having completed a full career in the British Army he then qualified as a management accountant and held a number of senior finance positions for Citipost (US) and Pitney Bowes as well as gaining experience in agriculture, solar, property and fresh produce manufacturing.  


Duncan Taylor – Production Director

Duncan has been in the industry since the nineties where he started as a Saturday lad at his local Bodyshop across from where he lived. After he finished school his dream of being a professional sportsmen didn’t materialise and he found his way into the industry with a notion it would only be a stop gap. Investing in people is something he is extremely passionate about whether it be internal/external training or apprenticeships this is an important investment for the individual that translates into industry leading performance.  

Fast forward over twenty-five years which has seen him cover all roles associated with running a successful, sustainable and profitable Bodyshop. His passion for people and helping them reach their potential and personal goals is infectious.

Graham Roberts – Commercial Director

Graham has been with the business for just over three years having joined us from one of the UK’s leading insurance companies.  Graham was the Head of Motor Customer claims, where he led the customer claims and accidental damage teams.  He has held various senior and strategic roles across the insurance claims and transformation sectors, having delivered many large improvement programmes, which have generated step change within the organisations he has worked for.  Graham has a wealth of knowledge which he has brought to ABL 1 Touch and as part of the board is leading our strategic direction with Duncan and Jon which enables us stand out from the crowd. 

Graham is passionate about the environmental impacts of the business and has been working with our key partners to produce a meaningful carbon reduction plan that challenges us to become more aware and efficient in all parts of the group.  Further work is being done in this area with an eye on becoming the first low carbon vehicle repair business in the UK.

Graham also leads the digital side of our business, working with our inhouse design and development teams to deliver alternative market wide solutions.

Susan Grobbelaar – Chief Financial Officer

Susan has worked for private equity backed businesses as the number one in finance for nearly 20 years.  She brings a wealth of experience from growing businesses through organic and acquisitive growth.  Susan enjoys the challenge of working in and understanding growing businesses in different industries including Oil, Retail, Veterinary and Certification. 

Susan has taken 4 private equity backed businesses through to successful exit stage, as well as completing and integrating many acquisitions.


Steve McQuillan – Operations Director

Steve has over 20 years of Operational Service Delivery experience across Financial Services, Telecommunications, Automotive sales and Automotive Service, Maintenance & Repair sectors.

Having held a number of senior positions for one of the largest worldwide Tyre Manufacturers and UK’s Repair Networks, he has delivered significant transformation in service delivery across central functions and front-line operations.

Steve is customer centric and passionate about simplification, scalable growth and ensuring quality in service delivery.
